خلاصه مقاله: Introduction: Kawasaki disease is mainly a systemic vasculitis that is often seen in children and infants. In general, this disease is the most common form of primary vasculitis in childhood. Delay in diagnosis or non-diagnosis of the disease can lead to severe complications, while with timely treatment and diagnosis, its prognosis turns out well. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study. The population of the study is the patients with Kawasaki disease admitted to Shahid Rahimi and Shahid Madani hospitals of Khorramabad during 2013-2019 . Results: In this study,21 patients with Kawasaki disease were studied. 15(71.4%)of the patients were male,81% were under 5 years old,66.7% were living in the city,19% had unilateral cervical lymphadenopathy,57.1% had non-purulent bilateral conjunctivitis, and all of them had a fever. Skin rash was reported in 66.7% of the patients. Coronary aneurysm was not seen in any of them of the patients 95.2%had leukocytosis,23.8% had high PLT level, 95.2%had high ESR levels,90.5% had high CRP levels, 19%had high AST, 10%had high ALT levels,81% had normal ALP levels,9.5% and had low Alb levels. Abdominal ultrasound was performed in57.1% of the patients and no involvement was reported in any of them. Conclusion: The results of this study, similar to other studies, showed that the majority of the patients were male and lived in urban areas. The range of the patients’ ages was from2 months to 9years, and the majority of them were under 5 years old. All of the patients had a fever. cutaneous rash(66.7%) non-purulent bilateral conjunctivitis(57.1%) abdominal pain(42.9%) , scaling of limbs, navel and anus cracked lips (28.6%)strawberry tongue(23.8%) , edema and limb erythema(19%) arthritis of the joints(19 %), unilateral cervical lymphadenopathy(19%) and CNS involvementand vision(4.8%) . None of the patients had coronary artery aneurysm. The majority of the patients, had high levels of WBC, ESR, and CRP. Unlike other studies, Alb levels were normal in most of them. Abdominal involvement was not reported in any of the patients based on the performed ultrasounds. Keywords: Kawasaki disease, Aneurysm, Coronary arteries, ASA, Heart disease
