خلاصه مقاله: Abstract Infections caused by Aspergillus spp. are associated with high morbidity and mortality. Resistance to antifungal drugs have been reported. Proper management of this infection is crucial. Seventy-one Aspergillus flavus strains identified using partial calmodulin (CaM) gene sequences were tested against eight antifungal agents, i.e. one polyene (amphotericin, AMB), five different azoles (itraconazole, ITC; isavuconazole, ISA; fluconazole, FLC; posaconazole, POS; voriconazole, VRC) and two echinocandins (micafungin, MICA; caspofungin, CAS). The GM MICs against all strains were as follows in increasing order: MICA: 0.105 µg/mL, POS: 0.117 µg/mL, ITC: 0.26 µg/mL, ISA: 0.339 µg/mL, CAS: 0.423 µg/mL, VRC: 0.647 µg/mL, AMB: 3.219 µg/mL, FLC: 64 µg/mL. Micafungin and posaconazole showed the lowest MIC50, MIC90 and GM. Among azoles, ITC comes next in having low MIC50 while in contrast AMB and FLC had the highest MIC50 and MIC90 and could not be advised for treatment. The susceptibility profiles of A. flavus between the clinical and environmental sources were not different significantly. Micafungin and posaconazole could be advised for treatment.
