The pandemic of the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been posing great threats to the world in many aspects. Although some possible antiviral and antiinflammatory medications are available, thousands of people are dying daily. Now we are understand genome of SARS cov-2 is not stable and there is many mutation and diversity in that ; for this reason the characteristics and features of coronavirus are so variable. This narrative, non-systematic review provides an update on the genetic aspects of the SARS CoV-2 virus and its interactions with the human genome within the context of COVID-19.
We performed an online search on PubMed and Google Scholar and other Web of Science with the keywords: COVID-19, 2019-nCoV, SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV-2-diversity, SARS-cov-2-genetic, and summarized the epidemiology, virology and genetic diversity and mutation of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 infection.
We retrieved 23 published papers about SARS-CoV-2 from January, 2021 to June, 2021. We found that SARS CoV-2 was a kind of virus with low mortality rate and high infectivity. We summarized consequences mutations and diversity of SARS Cov-2's genome, such as peplomer or spike diversity, effect on enter in human cell and Identify & develop immune system responses.
SARS-CoV-2 is a novel coronavirus that has caused a global pandemic. We should pay more attention to prevent SARSCoV-2 and try to control it but we must never forget the diversity and mutations of this virus.
